I want to create a drum map for my Roland td-17kvx e kit. Unfortunately it's not in the drop down list of drums in the Cakewalk drum map manager. I do have a Roland supplied midi note value listing, but I'm just not sure exactly how to properly enter the values and create the drum map. I don't want to use a drum vst, just the kit sounds from the td-17kvx. So I'm thinking I'll download Mike's SI drums drum map, then edit it and put in the td-17 midi note values instead. Does this sound reasonable? Thoughts or suggestions are most welcome. Thanks guys.

What mic pre amp are you using sounds great?

Will the software allow embedding metadata such as ISRC and ISWC codes?

Excellent Video as usual, You mention the LUFTs and having targets. how do you discover what the targets are for a specific platform? The days of vinyl production and their requirements are past (unless you have mega bucks and/or a record company behind you) So I am investigating how to master myself without expensive monitors (and a new pair of ears) for online streaming.

Patch Points: I like the ideas others have had, but I thought of another. I wondered for some time how to use one recorded part of one piano or synth and change patches. I suppose you could create patch points of a single synth, add patch points with different patches and then automate the PP channels on or off as you need them. BTW I've loved Mike's videos for years and I've learned a lot by watching them! He is the #1 Cakewalk prof.

Mike, I just started using cakewalk by bandlab and I really like it, what do you recommend, should I look for another DAW or should I stick with cakewalk by bandlab?

Hey Mike. Can I make a request? You're the best teacher and I really need some help and I'm sure other do as well. Could you make a video on how to setup/route Kontakt drums, (ex. Abbey Road Drummer) in Cakewalk? I want to have seperate tracks for each drum piece. I've tried following other videos.and posts but they are so confusing. I spent an entire afternoon just figuring out why in Abbey Road drummer, my tom 1 was sounding as a cymbal. Finally sorted it out. But I know you could show us how to properly set the drums up in Cakewalk. And I am using an e drum kit to trigger the drums. Please, please! I'd be forever in your debt.

Is it possible to reamp using the ID4 instead of the ID14? I looked closely at which output channel you used to and it was Ch3 and 1 or 2. The ID4 model only has 1 & 2, not 3 & 4. Is it possible to use Ch 1 or 2 without a risk of loopback?

Can you tell me, I can’t add ready-made audio to a track in Luna. For example, a reference track. When you drag an audio clip, an active plus cursor appears, but nothing else happens. Windows 11. Although in recording mode everything works fine.

If I recall correctly, my Kirchhoff EQ do the trick with the different detection frequency.
